European Championship Roundup

It was another excellent week for the team at the European Championships in Hasselt. We are over the moon that Mensur reached the final, before losing to Michael van Gerwen. After his run to the final Mensur is now up to world number 7, after what can only be described as a remarkable year. On his way to the final Mensur beat James Wattimena, Ian White, Phil Taylor and Peter Wright.

Jelle and Kyle both reached the quarter-finals of the European Championships. Jelle was also beaten by MvG, but pushed the world number one the whole way. Kyle lost to Peter Wright in the final game of the afternoon session. After these results, Jelle firmly in the world top ten with Mensur, and Kyle is up to 28th as he sets his sights on the top sixteen.

Kim sadly lost in the last 32, as he was beaten by James Wilson. After the weekend Kim is just outside the top ten in thirteenth place, but is only good result away from joining Mensur and Jelle in the top ten.

All eyes now turn to Glasgow this weekend for World Series final, where we have Kim, Jelle and Mensur in action. The draw was done live on Sunday evening, and was a nightmare for us as Kim and Jelle will have to play each other, and Mensur will play Robert Thornton. After the World Series, it’s the Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.
Very proud of all the team again this weekend. Results are getting better and better. On to the next one!
